Josh Howard: Proud American

This cell phone video recently surfaced of Dallas Maverick Josh Howard. The audio is a bit difficult to understand, but he says that he does not celebrate the national anthem because he’s black. Wow, what a perfect explanation. I’m sure Kobe, Lebron and the rest of the U.S. Men’s Gold Medal Winning Basketball team, who have publicly declared their pride when standing on the podium and listening to our National Anthem, love Howard’s latest morsel of genius. I’m sure other African Americans who have proudly and faithfully served our country, like Colin Powell, will have to come to the soul-opening revelation of Howard’s accuracy. Perhaps even better is at the end of the video, when he and his homie declare the allegance to Barrack Obama by saying “Obama 08″.

Priceless. First Obama has to distance himself from his pastor Reverend Jeremiah “Ridin’ Dirty!” Wright for incendiary comments against our country. Now I can just see it. Obama makes another eloquent, impassioned speech on race, declaring his love for our National Anthem and our Country, and simultaneously announcing his non- affiliation with Dallas Maverick Josh Howard.

Howard initially caught flak for admitting to smoking marijuana in his spare time. That’s nothing, in fact, I know people very close to me who have engaged in the indigenous herb, for medicinal purposes only, of course. Ahhh, who am I kidding? They filled up a trash can lid with crystallized koosh and took a flame thrower to it, blazing it up. And for what it’s worth, I’m all for firing up the electric lettuce. I personally haven’t used in ions, but maybe if more people in the world did, everyone would chill the F#$% out (Although we would most likely see a decline in productivity and GDP). What a D-bag. Here’s a lesson kids: If you are an idiot, stay away from cameras.
